New wedding venue in Covington, Starlit Sanctuary

A new wedding venue has opened in Covington called Starlit Sanctuary, administered by Community Montessori school on East 5th Street.
“We want to share this beautiful space with the Historic Licking Riverside
residents and the larger community, as well as anyone interested in historic buildings,” said Community Montessori board member Loren Wolff.
The venue is non-denominational, housed in an old Methodist church sanctuary built in 1866. The building also houses the school. All money raised from event rentals benefit the school’s scholarship fund, helping local students attend.
“We are pleased to be able to offer part of our building as an event venue, making it possible for families of all means to benefit from a Montessori education,” said Head of School Terri Rentrop.
The venue features a gathering space with custom, hand-painted constellations representing local families. Interested parties can purchase their own constellations. The sanctuary itself features wooden pews capable of seating about 300 people, 13 stained glass windows and high, historic ceilings. Couples who get married at the venue can also sign their names on the foyer wall, memorializing their event.
